About

Welcome to my little corner of the internet, where I document my glorious, chaotic war against technology. Sometimes I win, sometimes the machine wins, but the fun is in the fight.

Whether you have chosen or been chosen - uh sorry wrong intro...

By day, I'm an IT Systems Engineer. For over a decade, I’ve been wrestling with IT infrastructure and convincing servers to behave, networks to cooperate, and users that, yes, turning it off and on again really is the first, best step.

By night, I'm an explorer of forbidden hardware. I have an insatiable need to take apart things that were never meant to be opened, especially game consoles. My primary love is for the beautiful, red-ring-prone Xbox 360. I've spent years reverse-engineering its secrets, homebrewing its software, and voiding more warranties than I can count.

What You'll Find Here

This blog is where I publish my findings from the digital frontier. Expect stories of:

  • Reverse Engineering: Adventures that almost always begin with "I wonder what happens if..." and involve my trusty companions, IDA and Ghidra.
  • Emulation: Projects that I swear will be "a quick weekend task" before they inevitably consume an entire month.
  • AI Experiments: My ongoing attempt to teach machines to be gentlemen and scholars. Results are... pending.
  • Tales from the Trenches: Stories of enterprise system woes, hungry server cats, and why the data center is on fire.

Think of this as a technical blog with commitment issues. We'll dive deep into code one day and solve cryptic hardware mysteries the next. It's guaranteed to be interesting, educational, and just the right amount of unhinged.

Thanks, and have fun.
Tom
